Interview with Rufat Jabrayilov – Representative of Midea Uzbekistan
Product Brief:
Topic: Ventilation Systems, Market Trends, and Midea’s Growth Strategy in Uzbekistan
Mr. Rufat, could you tell us how Midea entered the Uzbekistan market?
Midea is a global brand present in over 160 countries. The market in Uzbekistan has been growing rapidly, especially in recent years. There is a clear demand for modern and energy-efficient HVAC solutions in both the commercial and residential sectors. We identified this opportunity and entered the market with high-quality, sustainable ventilation systems. We started by establishing distribution and service centers, and now we’re actively participating in major national projects.
What makes Midea's ventilation systems different from others?
Our biggest strength lies in our technology. Midea systems – including VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow), AHU (Air Handling Units), and HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilators) – are known for their energy efficiency, low noise levels, and smart control capabilities. They operate reliably across a wide temperature range and can adapt to both hot and cold climates.
In what types of buildings are these systems most commonly used?
Our systems are widely used in various sectors. These include hotels, business centers, restaurants, banks, shopping malls, and universities. For instance, we recently installed AHU and HRV systems in a large university complex in Tashkent. We also serve residential developments and individual homes with tailored solutions.
Why is it important to design and select ventilation systems properly?
Because every building is different. Factors like volume, airflow, humidity levels, noise requirements, and occupancy must all be considered. Our engineering team performs on-site inspections and recommends the most suitable system for each project. Choosing the wrong system can lead to energy waste and customer dissatisfaction.
What does Midea offer in terms of warranty and after-sales service?
All of our products come with official warranties ranging from 2 to 5 years. We also have locally trained engineers who handle installations and technical service. For us, the relationship with the customer does not end with the sale — we support them throughout the system's lifecycle.
What are Midea’s future plans in Uzbekistan?
One of our key objectives is to open a dedicated Midea showroom and training center in Tashkent within the next three years. We also plan to expand our partnerships with local developers and contractors while running awareness campaigns on energy efficiency and air quality management.
Finally, what message would you like to send to your clients and partners?
As technology evolves, people are seeking smarter, greener, and more reliable solutions. Midea is ready to meet these expectations. We invite all clients and partners to collaborate with us and explore our solutions. Clean air means a better life — and we are committed to delivering it.
